Fussy toddler

Any advice or ideas to get my toddler to eat, every dinner time is a battle and he never ends up eating his dinner and just have toast instead because I don’t want him to go hungry before bed If anyone has any ideas would be super grateful

My boy is the same… trying our best to get him to try new foods is such a battle. Xx

I’m in the exact same boat 😓 my little boy will only eat the same dinners on repeat, won’t try anything new - feel your pain it can be so stressful. I have found not making a fuss and leaving stuff in front of him and walking away works sometimes. The more I ask him to try something etc he kicks off more. You’re not alone ❤️ hopefully it’s just a phase xx

My daughter is also going through this at the moment. Keep offering safe food you know they like alongside something else. My daughter didn’t eat her dinner at nursery today & it was pizza. When she got home; she had a cracker with cheese & cucumber. These phases don’t last forever; as infuriating as they are xx

We are also going through the same He is even refusing his favourite meal.. I don’t know if it’s a phase that will pass I hope it is

Same here with my daughter. She will eat everything at nursery but at home she has one bite of food and turns her nose up. I’ve started getting her down from the table and keeping her dinner to one side. If she asks for a snack or pudding then she gets offered her dinner again. If she is hungry before bedtime she can have a banana. I find that if I sit eating the same thing with her at the table then she tends to eat more of it, but I struggle with this as she likes to eat early compared to us. I know it’s a phase, but it is super frustrating!

Thank you everyone it’s really comforting to know that it’s not just my toddler!! Hopefully the phase will pass soon🤞🏼

It probably sounds against everything but sometimes we give her something small we know she loves and it wets her appetite 😂🙈 and then she has dinner. She loves pickles or some fruit or a small yogurt and then she has her dinner! Sometimes I think she’s just like ‘I DONT WANT DINNER, I WANT A SNACK’ she feels like she’s won a bit haha and then dives into her food!
