Anime fans i need your honest opinion

My husband and I like to watch anime. His favorite anime is One Piece, he's been watching it since a kid, is caught up on the manga, all that stuff. Anyways, i'm 20 weeks with our second child which is a boy and he's over the moon since we already have a girl. This guy wants to give our son the middle name D. like Luffy from One Piece lmao. I tried telling him it's not real?? But he thinks its so cool and i'm like not sure how i feel about it. A part of me doesn't care and another part is like but that's kinda weird?? What do ya'll think?? Is it weird or no

I don’t see how it’s different from naming a child after any other character or person tbh. It’s kinda sweet

Yeah, I have a middle name that starts with D, but guess what? When I am asked to fill out forms, they ask for my middle INITIAL, not my middle name lolol

My husband suggested a bunch of Pokémon gym leader names for our first child lol

If I had a boy he would have been named Gohan lol. I think D is cute, and super simple too so no future struggles with filling out forms or misspellings etc 😆

Our boy is called Kylo , after a Star Wars character lol my partners idea! He always suggested Star Wars names (Rey) and Pokémon names (Eevee) for our eldest but I didn’t like that 🤣 I don’t see the issue, it’s cute he wants to use your interests! And it’s different! X

My grandmother has the middle name “D” no period nothing just D. Her dad said extra letters would be a waste of paper 😆 Dian D

So my partner is a big batman fan so my son is named Bane after a batman character
