Birth plan

I think you should write your birth plan to whatever birth you want. Just because you have gdm doesn’t mean you can’t have your ideal birth! even tho they’ll tell you it has to be on a ward it definitely doesn’t

Write the plan and know what you want. Be ready to ask pros and cons of any interventions they suggest. But remember that getting the baby out safely is the aim so you won't be upset if it's not how you imagined

I had GDM too and they'll probably push for an induction if baby gets overdue. It's worth having a plan but also being ok with the fact that it may go completely differently to how you hoped - my peaceful water birth did not happen and I ended up having an emergency c section because of failed induction!
