I’m with you on this! I started weaning this week and my LB won’t bring stuff to his mouth and only has 2 or three spoonfuls or puréed veg and then refuses it. He also doesn’t seem comfortable in the high chair at all even though I’ve adjusted it and propped him up properly etc! Thinking of leaving it for a while longer but also don’t know if it would now be detrimental to stop? X
@Els food is just for fun before 1 years old, so if they aren’t enjoying it I wouldn’t say stopping for a while would be detrimental, it’s probably the opposite
I say follow your mum's intuition as you know your baby the best! My daughter is turning 6 months next week and I am in no rush to wean. She has had some bad night sleep recently so I consulted lactation consultant and she warned me that there is a chance of her sleep worsening even more if we introduce food now. So I am not rushing. She is very interested in what we eat and slowly starting to try to sit up so once she sits properly, we can do solids 😊😊
I would say she’s just not ready. My 25th centile baby started weaning at 5 months and she had lost her thrust reflex already
