First birthday

What are you planning for your LOs first birthday if you DON’T plan to have a big party? I think our families are expecting us to throw a big do for our baby, but I don’t have any desire to. I personally find it unnecessary, they’re 1 years old. a waste of money, energy. Maybe because I love intimate moments, my privacy it’s just more meaningful to me. People of our culture go BIG - it’s so not my thing. My husband would like a party but is happy either way as he understands why I don’t. He thinks it can be wasteful too. I’ve had a few comments from family members mentioning her 1st and party but I ignore them and don’t let them know there won’t be a big party… I don’t believe they have a say really. So what are you planning if not a party? I’m thinking a holiday just us 3, sun sea and beautiful memories. And when we get back we can enjoy some cake with our families for small get togethers as we do for our own bdays.

Just a trip to Chester Zoo I think or the local farm xo

We have pret5y much the same plan! His birthday on a Saturday, we're thinking of a seaside day trip too, and then coffee and cake with close family the next day x

To be fair I am planning a party if finances allow - I didn’t have a baby shower or anything pre baby matter of fact, and the day I was gonna meet all the girls for dinner my waters went 😂 so it would be nice to get everyone in one space to celebrate together whether she would remember or not! HOWEVER with that being said, I always said if we didn’t do the party I wanted to go to the aquarium with her, it’s so sensory for babies and I think would be the perfect age!

Also not big on parties as well. We'll do a day out somewhere ans maybe a little tea party with some family over. We may also get a photographer to capture some nice pics 😊
