2.5 potty training

My boy is 2.5 and we are looking to try potty training again (we tried it a few months ago, but he wasn’t ready) and I’ve noticed that he isn’t releasing his full bladder, but going in small amounts, stopping and then going again. Is this normal? Is this a sign he isn’t developmentally ready yet or will the full bladder release come with time?

Is he a big drinker? I started yesterday and been encouraging my daughter to drink as much as possible. She was doing fine yesterday although very small wees on the potty she had no accidents until her dad got home from work and she had 2 MASSIVE wees on the floor! No advice sorry I would just say encourage fluids and make it exciting x

@Lucy he does drink but only has a few sips and then comes back for a few more sips etc he doesn’t have a big drink and then a big wee if that makes sense?

One of my twins was doing this and then I got his favourite character toy and said ‘lightning McQueen wants to hear a big big wee wee’ and then he did a big wee and managed to hold it for a few hours rather than doing dribbles every 5 mins and then a big accident xxx
