No progression after 2 months

Been potty training for just about 2 months, my little boy doesn’t seem to have progressed very much. Started at 26 months. He wears pull ups, when I ask if he needs a wee he always says no but I put him on the potty to try and most the time he does wee. He sometimes wees in pull ups / underpants / the floor and doesn’t seem too bothered about being wet. I thought it might have gotten easier by now but it’s still taking a lot of effort. I feel I’ve been doing this for too long to go back to nappies. I’m not sure if he’s relying on me to make him go to the potty instead of him telling me he has to go..

I put my daughter in commando as much as possible instead of pullups and then underwear. I just kept taking her instead of asking until one day she said she had to pee and hasn't had any accidents since. I also gave her a chocolate every time she listened to her body and peed without me telling her and weaned that out after a couple months. Just stay consistent and he'll get there
