I love that name! I know someone named Brea, which may be easier for people to guess pronunciation, but I think you should go with traditional spelling because it has meaning to you and people will learn.

@Grace aw lovely! Changing the spelling actually changes the meaning as well - I believe Brea is Old English meaning “hill”, while Bria is Irish Gaelic meaning “high” or “noble”

My American brain gets very tripped up with the spelling. But that’s okay, it’s beautiful and I love the meaning and it’s Scottish roots

I should add my name is probably mispronounced with the spelling more because we are American. Still rare but we see more brea or bria.
