My husband is a catholic school teacher and there are all kinds of personalities, just like in public school. In kindergarten they are not expecting perfection by any means. Usually they still have nap/quiet time!
My son is in kindergarten in a Catholic school. No issues. I would say it has higher standards than public schools around here, but that’s not saying much as our public schools are consistently in the top 10 worst in the country. But they definitely do not expect perfection.
@Anna👼👶👼👼 @Brittany thanks I was worried if perfection was somewhat expected. We really have no other options and I do like the catholic school. Were there any evaluations/day visits to get in? I feel like getting into school was easier when I was a kid. I am hearing from others though different states, that their kids are having a hard time getting in to private. Not necessarily Catholic
Not in our areas (hubby has worked in catholic schools in CT, VA, and NY)
Try touring the school and asking the questions you have regarding discipline, curriculum and the daily schedule. It may help you decide if the school will be a good fit or not.
I can only speak for public school, but it all is very dependent on state. I’m assuming private schools follow similar standards as the state public schools. Look up your state standards
