Easter hype..

Obviously our toddlers are young and I appreciate everyone has different traditions and rules on chocolate - our little one has had chocolate (not loads). As a child, we always got plenty of Easter eggs and the day was very much, a massive Sunday roast, family together and then veg out on sofa and eat chocolate guilt free and probably fall asleep on the sofa 🤣 chocolate for breakfast? Sure! But I’ve seen so many pictures this morning of parents who have got their children big gifts, masses of new clothes, toys, money, chocolate etc and laid out as a surprise for them when they come downstairs. is this the norm? I don’t remember Easter being as big as it is now? Just curious ☺️

I’m excited for this years cause she’s asked for me to make it hard 🤣 usually they are visibly hidden but this year they are just going to be hidden 🤣 she’ll be 7 in June xx

We just got our little one a book and a hot cross bun teddy (they’re his favourite food at the moment)! Other people have got him chocolate eggs but we’ll be eating them not him 🤣🤣

It’s way to much nowadays I use to get an egg then that’s it as a child now it’s just like any other day to me. My boys got an egg and yesterday went to a easter thing at my work but not getting in to gift giving for every event there’s no need for it as they’ll expect it every year and anything can change money wise. I do there birthdays and Christmas but nothing big then either I’m just like grinch of things but I’m trying to get in to it for them 🤣 x I would say a new outfit and some shoes might be normal for Easter any holiday but not masses of toys or clothes but each to there own x

We just got her an Easter book! As she gets older we will do an egg hunt and a little prezzie that’s it. Each to their own but I feel like everything goes a bit crazy now x

When we were kids we would have gotten an easter outfit like a new sunday best outfit and new sandals to last through the spring/summer, and an easter basket with some eggs and little chicks. I got my little one a basket for our egg hunt with an easter book in it and a little fluffy lamb. Its a bit like christmas I guess its just whatever you are used to x
