Could you not use a water lube? Something thatâs safe for your vagina đ€Ł wouldnât wonna use coconut oil personally I end up with thrush for using a new shower gel
There's no risk of infection from any oil, especially if it's just pure coconut (or even olive) oil with not additives. 1. Nothing will grow in it anyway and 2. It's not like the branded (and overpriced!) suff is sterile. And even if it was, it would stop being sterile the second you open it. The main source of any bacteria would be your own fingers, not any oil you use. I used coconut oil with my first. Not bothering this time as there's actually no proof whatsoever that it does anything to prevent tearing.
we bought one from boots i think it was from the expert midwife range but god it was the most uncomfortable experience ever, think my partner did it for like 6 seconds before i almost kicked him in the face. personally i wouldnât bother as if youâre gonna tear youâre gonna tear, i donât think you can stretch yourself enough to prepare for a head to go throughđ«Ł
I just ordered the expert midwife oil! I felt a bit unsure using like a normal coconut oil etc so decided to buy one thatâs meant for perineal massage!
