Telling work
Anyone else scared to tell work 🫣 for context I started a new job in September so I’ll be going off just over a year after I’ve started. I just can’t help thinking they will be annoyed, which I know they won’t be, but I’m really nervous about telling them 🫣🫣 last time I wasn’t bothered, my old boss wasn’t particularly pleasant and I was quite happy to say I’ll be off on mat leave soon.

My partner is carrying, and she's a teacher, she sent them an email during Easter break, and they have been absolutely fine. Head & assit head both good, and that makes 5th teacher to be due mat leave next term 🫣🫣 hope that help! My boss is pregnant and I've requested 4 weeks pat leave. She's happy with that < I think for the fact she will be off too 🤣😂
I know they will be fine but I think it’s just anxious feelings from previous job. I wasn’t bothered about telling them but it’s was more about how I was made to feel after. There was 3 of us going off at the same time and I was the last one so as you can imagine it felt like oh not another one 🙄 Not as bad as 5 though! Wow haha 😅

I started a new one too in September and the policy says to tell them before 15 weeks. I’m only 5 weeks gone so I’ll hold off until the 14th week. It’s not your fault when you’ve had to go off, so no one should be annoyed at you. I believe it’ll be fine when you tell them. Wishing you luck.🍀
