Ada or Evie

We've narrowed down our list to these two. We've always liked Ada and keep coming back to it. But Evie we like as it would be a derivative of Yvonne, family name. Middle name either Yvonne or Elizabeth which lots of family have as there's too. So hard as one is just a name we love and another has lots of family links

Ada is my number 1 name in the whole wide world! Planning to name my August baby this — join the crew!!

@Jessica aw how beautiful. It's my favourite if the two but mu husband is leaning more towards evie for the family links

I love Ada I was going to call my baby this if I had a girl after my great nan and the middle name would be Lou after my mum not double barrelled just Ada Lou but we had a boy so we called him Asa. Ada seems to be really popular at the moment

@Lauren it's such a pretty name. Lovely meaning behind ada lou and asa is nice too. It does appear to be quite popular at the moment which kind of puts me off

I honestly love the name it has such meaning behind it for me but I think even I would have to find one less popular atm I was born when Lauren was a popular name in the 90s 92 specifically 😅 and I had 4 Lauren’s in class of 30 and I didn’t Like all of us having to be called my our second names Evie is also lovely and not as popular atm also has a meaning for you guys

We went to look at a nursery the other day and when they asked my son’s name they had never heard it before in 20 years of working with children and I thought it was well known name 😅

@Lauren ye I'd rather her not be one of many in a class. When we named our son iy was a kittle less common but kinda taken off since. It's so hard to decide when love both for different reasons. I've never heard of your sons name bit it's nice to noy be one of many

Love Ada,What about Ivy it’s got the vintage feel of Ada, similar to Evie and also a derivative of Yvonne.

Where are you based? I'm in the UK and know loads of Evie's (or Eve/Eva/Evelyn's), so this one feels more popular than Ada to me.

@TAS is a lovely name, never knew it came from Yvonne too

@Jess I'm scotland. Ye I feep they're both pretty popular

I like Ada Elizabeth

@Jenny I really like that combination too but having Yvonne in the name is important to my husband

I like both names alot however Evie is very popular so I’d personally go with ada. I do prefer the combination of Evie Elizabeth though

@Katie I agree re evie Elizabeth combination
