@Dana I give two options: Do you want me to change you on top of the table or on the floor? His response: outside! that's was not a f option!!! Pay attention to what im saying!!! Hahaha. SMH
When all else fails with the two options for us that's just when we deal with the consequences of our LO kicking and screaming the whole time trying to do what needs done 🤷♀️
What’re you doing that he’s saying no to?
Hahahha I laughed out loud so hard at this but it’s something my son would do too! Or when he wants outside but won’t get dressed or get shoes on to do what he wants🤦🏼♀️. Days that I have time to wait I’ll sit in his room as long as needed until he agrees to the task but days we have to be somewhere I try being gentle, nice, and giving him time to agree but ultimately will end with forcing him to do the task so we can get out the door
Giving options has worked really well for us. They’re at an age they think they can do everything themselves but reality is they can’t. Like getting dressed in the morning we give two shirts which one do you want to wear and that seems to work better then us just picking . Where we can give the two options and let him pick we will do that. Other times we can offer the same thing 7 times until he changes no into yes lol it’s testing for sure
