Mine is 7 months. He rolled one way a couple of times but can't be bothered to roll properly. He prefers to sit up and play. They all just do things differently and in their own time so I wouldn't stress too much.
Mine is 7 mo too and has rolled just a couple of times - I still think it was just accidental rather than her doing it on purpose. Pediatrician said it’s fine since she’s meeting other milestones. She’s almost 90% percentile baby, so also because of that it might take longer. Just keep in mind that not all babies roll or like to roll. Keep encouraging her too but don’t stress too much about it.
@Jade sounds like you're describing my little boy. He loves sitting up and doesn't seem to be bothered about rolling over. He can kinda shimmy across or pivot around if he needs to reach something when on tummy/back so I guess he thinks rolling is pointless 😅
You can physically show her how to roll over, put your hands on her hips, and roll her both ways every day so she gets used to the feeling
@Jade same as my LO who is 7 months on Friday total pro at sitting but rolled couple times but that’s it
Is she not trying to, or is there a problem like for example she hasn’t figured out she has to move her arm out of the way to roll? If there’s something making her fail try moving it and showing her how moving it makes it easier! My son used to refuse to roll over because his arm always prevented it from being successful once I taught him he needs to move his arm he now does it on his own all the time!
What I did to help my daughter rolled on her tummy. She had a hard time mastering that one so I tried to use the toy to help her and just repeated a few times everyday and after like a few days she started rolling over. But from tummy to back she did that on her own but I think the same concept works on either way. And do both sides too my daughter only knew how to roll on one side for months before she realize she can do her other side too 😂
@Brittney she isn't showing any sign of rolling over. She will lay on her back lift her legs and arms but isn't showing no signs of rolling over at all xx
My daughter didn’t roll until 8 months, she then crawled 2 weeks later and walked at 11 months. I’d try not to worry.
