Workout shoes

Question for those that know a lot of working out, is it okay to use converse? I love the even level of them compared to running shoes that are all sorts of shape and height from toe to heel. My feet feel much more in a natural in them

Try barefoot shoes for running. Only use converse or vans when you’re lifting weights 🏋️‍♀️

I don't run, I use a recumbent bike, but have running shoes for workout in general

if you're lifting then those are great, it's better to use flatter shoes or even barefoot when weight lifting because of the ground stability and what not, i've always worn my vans for running too and never had a lot of issues other than a blister or two- but higher socks fixed that for me

I would recommend being properly fitted with shoes from a store that specializes in working out/running. You could develop shin splints or other injuries later down the road.

I envy you My damn arch will not let me in any flat shoes but no shoes they’re fine

Go for it! I'm a big fan of flatter shoes for workouts. The big cushions on a lot of running shoes don't help much at all. In fact for some people like myself thick heels can cause all sorts of technique issues.

@Anna yes, I find I run so awkwardly in them, but due to an accident I won't be running until I strengthen my hip again

@Samantha I am the opposite, running shoes have their arches in a lower spot for my feet or not big enough

@Sookie I'm with you there! A big cushion on the heel will make me heel strike when running. I also like the ankle mobility flat shoes promote especially for strength based workouts.
