My great grandma was Doris and my grandma was Lorna-Evelyn. I love the older names. Go for it!
aw, Gladys was also my grandmother's name! vintage names are so popular atm, and although Gladys is one that doesn't seem to have caught on, it fits that trend - it's unusual, but not "outdated" in the sense that it is more of an old-fashioned name, but so are names like Edith, Hazel, Beatrice, Ada etc which are currently very popular! Gladys is lovely - so many cute nickname options and such a beautiful tribute to your granny! 💕

Don't know where you are in the world but in the UK there are lots of girls with granny names, Florence, violet, Edith, Charlotte etc all making a resurgence
My ex boss (headteacher) was called Gladys. She was about 5, 2”, tiny and terrifying. She was also one of the most honest and compassionate women I’ve ever met. I think it’s a highly underrated name!

Gladys is due a comeback! With the popularity of Maeve and Mabel and Winnifred and so on I think Gladys is right on trend but staying more rare which is perfect

Its actually a popular hispanic name but yes Ive mostly heard it from aunts and grandparents. Its still beautiful! Bring it back momma!
