Impetigo
Hi all my son keeps getting impetigo which starts as small blisters and turns horrific. was on antibiotics for 3 weeks and it left what looked like a scar, I can now see two new spots occurring which is what it starts off like. GP and children ward not getting much luck keep giving me the same cream which is doing nothing. Any advice or any way to treat this? As can’t get anywhere with doctors

@Marjana from nursery but it’s all the time reoccurring and I’ve taken a ridiculous amount of time off work due to it, on my final warning now, don’t know what I’m to do
That’s the problem with nursery. So many children come in with different infections/illness. You need to ask the nursery do they disinfect the toys and classroom etc
@Marjana they do they’re pretty good with that sort of thing just at my wits end here😭
Ask your GP to get blood tests done?

Does your son have eczema? Usually impetigo happens if your skin has a open wound and all the bacteria goes inside it which causes an infection
