@Tara my girl is only 12 lbs 9 oz! so pretty close! I think it’s because she sleeps through the night so she’s missing out on calories during that time. My doctor suggested just offering an ounce or two in a bottle after she’s done nursing during the last two feeds of that day! Just in case that’s helpful for you too :) she also said babies grow length wise before weight wise and my girl is just kind of long and lean!
Yes yes! My daughter only wakes once, maybe twice a night to feed, I got really lucky with that 😅 I’m not concerned how much she weighs as long as she’s healthy and happy! Her daddy and I are both super thin, as is her older brother, so it just runs in the family 😁
Mine was about that at her 4 month. They are getting concerned because she was in the 50th percentile and is now in the 20th
But she's started reflux meds and we are hoping that will help things improve
My daughter is 4 months and had her 4 month appointment recently. She is 12lbs 10oz. Which is just under 4lbs more from when she was born, so she’s only gaining about a pound a month. She eats on demand and sleeps through the night. She is completely healthy and strictly breastfed. My doctor has no concerns whatsoever. As long as your little one is meeting milestones and gaining weight, I think you are fine. My girl is in the 78% for height and 17% for weight and completely perfect 🩷
@Bri sounds like my little one! 🩷 thank you so much!!
@Bri my daughter has also only gained a pound a month! But she’s a happy healthy girl ❤️
I’m a formula feeding mom. My baby was diagnosed at 28 weeks with IUGR, born at 37 weeks weighting 5 lbs 7 oz and is not 11 lbs 6oz and in the 3rd precentile for weight and 5th for height. Keep your chin up mama.
My oldest was always small! Had growth restrictions when I was pregnant and was a very tiny infant. At a year old she still looked like she was 8 months old . She’s now almost 4 and looks more her age. I wasn’t very concerned till my family started pointing it out after she was a year old . We ended up taking her to a specialist and got her tested , turns out she was just a little girl .
Wish my daughters doctor felt the same way. As long as she’s healthy and growing on her own curve, no need to worry!!! My mom says at my 1 year check up I weighed 17lb. My four month old only weighs in at 12.7 but that’s still only 5 pounds less than I weighed when I was eight months older than her!
