Credit card

Question. I have a big bill coming up $900+ for my car insurance six month premium. I have the money saved for it. Unfortunately I also have a few maxed credit cards. I’m not sure if it makes a difference at all, but should I just pay it from the account I have money saved in? Or would it look better if I paid $900+ on a credit card and then used that to pay the bill?

If you pay the credit card off. Are you maxing it again? By paying the insurance. Cause it’s like you’re paying the credit card to max it out again. Ending up in debt again.

I would pay it from your account I think.

Not sure if you can but I think most car insurance companies give you option to pay up front all of it or make payments on it. Seems like monthly payments would be better so you can work on paying down the CC.

Pay the car insurance premium. If you pay the credit card company, then immediately use what's available, you'll be paying interest on that, too. Its what they want you to do so they can charge you more interest in the long run. If you want it to look better to the credit card company or credit scores, make weekly or bi-weekly payments instead of monthly payments. Next, choose one of the cards to work on paying off at a time, then leave it empty. What I mean is if you're paying extra, put all the extra to 1 card and pay the minimum to the others. This allows your debt amount to not be maxed because you'll just have a random credit card with a credit limit that you're not using, so your credit can never be maxed. Then, you'll want to work towards using only half or less of your total combined credit limit to keep your credit score healthy and growing because spending more than half your limit hurts your score. Oh, and don't open any new credit cards.

Pay it with the money you have. Doesn’t make sense to rack up more debt. It will only cost you more with interest.
