I’m in the same boat. My son is 12.5 months and he’s mostly interested in the bottle only. Also struggling with water in his sippy. My pediatrician said to cut back the milk and he will get hungry enough to eat. I struggle with that! No mom wants their baby to hungry. I’ve cut him back from 32oz a day to 20 and not much of an improvement yet. On our good solids day, he does do better if he can see the TV from his high chair with a movie he likes playing… I guess he doesn’t get bored and will eat more.

Thats so hard! To cut back and still not see an improvement. Mine will have about 24 oz a day but wakes up screaming for milk twice a night so that would total 32oz. Even when he’s hungry he doesn’t want food.

Yes, same. I will sit him down with food when I know he’s good and hungry, but he will just fuss for the bottle until I get in. Have you tried cereal in their bottle at night? Will help to keep them full to not do nighttime feedings that has worked for us.

@Krystal just be careful with that. It is not suggested anymore because it is a choking hazard.

@Megan I had not heard that before! But that’s confusing. I can see that with an infant…, but what’s the difference between that and feeding him cereal at dinner and then giving his night time bottle?

My son is the same way, he just turned a year on the 19th. we have lucked out with baby yogurt. But other than that only wants milk. We are at a loss too

@Krystal probably because you expect to swallow a liquid quickly and a solid, you do more slowly even if it’s applesauce or something only somewhat thick.
