I only use them on the go and I use once upon a farm so they have to be refrigerated. I make all my food for her and I use kendamil oatmeal but I’m not using WIC. I know some farmers markets let you use WIC. I steam and blend everything. I got a used baby food processor off Facebook but you can cook steam and use a blender honestly.
I try to do homemade, but have a couple premade ones for on the go. I also like them to try foods to see if baby likes it before I commit to buying it in bulk and wasting my time cooking it myself lol
Honestly I make them myself. There are so many recalls on baby foods I don’t trust companies anymore. But if I were going to buy already made I would scan it with the Yuka app to make sure there’s no carcinogens in it.
All Pouches and store bought food can be made at home. Both have a time and place. I see Pouches as "convenience foods"- we are out or on the go and I need something easy. Otherwise make it yourself if baby is eating at home and it's way cheaper and better for baby. You can also control how much of each ingredient goes into your homemade puree. Many times these Pouches have mostly the sweet fruit so kids will eat it easier. Also the texture is very smooth so kids don't get used to texture.
