You can keep fresh for 5 days maybe worth not freezing where possible and giving the fresh. Freeze excess to use in future maybe when weaning in cereal ect
It’s most likely he doesn’t like the plastic bottle texture and prefers breast feeding, and associates you as the ‘feeder’. Make sure milk warmed get dad to feed when baby not ravenous too, you could try giving sips of bottle as practice as it’s a different suck vs BF. Dad could walk around with baby and rock so a bit distracted I have two BF babies and both have always struggled to take a bottle from my other half. (One is 10 weeks). Also don’t forget re milk they will have much higher volumes as get bigger so like 8oz+ so will soon go down if baby will have frozen milk in future x
I read somewhere that scalding the milk before you freeze it helps with the high lipase taste and smell, maybe its worth trying for future pump sessions
How old is your son? Could you save the milk and mix it 50/50 with cows milk in the future when he is old enough? Could you mix it 50/50 with fresh pumped milk before you leave for work? Maybe that would tone down the taste enough for him to accept it. My son also rejected bottles and it was a fight to get him to drink out of one ever. Finally around 8 months he started drinking out of a straw cup and our days of struggling with bottles were over thank goodness. You can search on Google there are some strategies to try to lessen the lipase enzyme! There are a lot of ideas you can try- too many to list here. You can use the milk for baths so it isn’t wasted. Worst case scenario if you can’t find a solution that encourages your baby to drink the it you can donate the milk you already pumped to a nicu milk bank. ❤️
