I do toast with some butter or/and jam. Crumpets. Weetabix or a pouch if I’m really busy that day. If I’m going to feed my LO I give her some fruit wafers to feed herself with too and I know she won’t eat as much cereal/pouch etc
I batch cook banana pancakes but you can do plain, and shell have pancakes w jam on, or little bits like that x
I mix it up on a daily: french toast (with brioche loaf), berries and yogurt Scrambled eggs & avocado Toast & jam with berries & yogurt Egg cups - ham, cheese, peppers etc My lo is very clingy too so I have to involve her with the cooking process 😂
Weatabix with mashed banana is a favourite in our house. Or for busy mornings, I batch made oatbars, and he has one of those with some natural yoghurt
Toast with butter & jam or peanut butter, weetabix, coco pops, porridge, waffle with scrambled egg & beans or pancakes x
Pastry pinwheels ( messy) 🤩🤣 With fruit inside , be sure to mash it up , especially if baby is young just layer the pastry and roll , bake in oven for around 15-20mins pm 180, you can also either do an egg wash or milk wash to brown them and serve with Greek yourgurt or any yougurt of your choice x
I do fruit and pancakes or fruit and a pouch when we are short on time since my LO is able to self feed with these, sometimes I will do sausage links cut until bite size pieces and the egg white of a boiled egg
Oatmeal with fruit and flax/chia, Sun butter etc
My LO loves a croissant. You can put all kinds of flavours in it. Porridge is also a hit. We get plain porridge sachets and they are 2 mins in the microwave. We then add berries for taste and honey (if sweetness is wanted). Yoghurt with sugar free Granola and berries is also another hit. Again we can add a bit of honey if needed.
I honestly don’t mind feeding my daughter the same thing every day. We switch it up when I have the time/ ingredients but she mainly eats the same meals each day. French toast with cinnamon has been a go-to lately, along with pork breakfast sausage links. I also serve Italian chicken sausage links for a protein. My daughter doesn’t like pancakes, waffles, or really anything with maple syrup but I make a loaf each week for us to have as a “sweet” cakey snack. I rotate between making a loaf of banana bread (sometimes add dark chocolate bits) and a blueberry lemon loaf. I barely add sugar and sometimes serve them with breakfast.
You can make pancake batter the night before and fry them in the morning. Can do all sorts of variations with that, adding fruit, etc
Meat based waffles (ground mince meat, egg, banana, spelt/wholemeal flour blended & put in waffle machine) put in fridge for next coming day or two. (Saw recipe on IG and huge hit) Kefir / coconut yoghurt, some blended smoothie mix you can get from supermarket that have frozen mixed fruit veg in, add chia seed. Or I’ve added oats in sometimes depending what fruits in it. Make a few and leave in fridge for next few days. Omlette strips with chopped veg in (fresh or frozen), flaked fish (low salt sardine/mackeral tinned usually seems lowest salt), or chopped meat, cheese. Cut into strips made night before usually. She eats them cold next morning. Last in fridge for later in day if needed. I finish rest! lol Wheetabix mashed with banana and milk Mashed avocado, mashed banana, mixed with scrambled egg Some of these sound gross but my LO loves them (she’s 15 months) Blueberries, orange, bannana, something like that cut up on side if she’s having meat / fish / egg based Breckie
Old fashioned oats, I add berries or apples and cinnamon and then add a splash of milk after. She loves. Also pancakes or waffles in the waffle iron.
Get a toddler tower so your lo can watch you prepare!
