Cna to Rn bridge program.

I really want to become nurse. I dont know which field to go into yet. Im thinking pediatric simply because I love kids. Majority of my job background is in childcare education. However, here is the thing. I will read and read and not consume 80% of what im studying. I struggled in A&P I but my professor was interactive and gave guides and lessons and exams matched the assignments and quizzes. A&PII.. my professor did nothing. I struggled connecting A&P clinically if that makes sense which are my exams. My quizzes and assignments are textbook but my exams are clinical like the side note nclex questions. My professor wasnt very involved in the learning process. I have been struggling all semester and suddenly my professor wants to give second chances on exams but gives us a week to do it. Though I emailed this professor multiple times consistently to retake the exams through the semester. Now im stressed and I completely shut down. closed my books my tabs and questioning if I can do this. i already signed up for the summer course. Because my gpa doesnt meet the RN requirements I needed to make minimally a B or B+ but I currently have a C-. Im not failing just I need that gpa to go up. by like .5 . I just needed to vent this out because im alone in this. Husband doesnt help. Family no bueno. Friends. Dont have any in the same field. Toddler is a velcro toddler.

I suggest taking a semester break if you can. If the issue is you just needing a little extra teaching, I highly suggest audio books and YouTube videos.

Like Ann said, there are so many resources available to you if you need additional help, you just need to seek them out. I will say that most RN programs have very strict GPA requirements. In my own program, if your grade fell below 83% you were held back for the semester, and that was only allowed to happen once before you had to restart the program. We started with a cohort of 120 students and I graduated with about 60. Nursing is known as one of the hardest undergrad degrees, and that's not an over exaggeration. You will be required to seek out your own resources, and retaking exams is typically not an option. I'm not saying any of this to dissuade you from pursuing the degree, but you will probably find a few professors like your current one in the program and I would advise that you have a good stockpile of resources that you can use to supplement learning in a way that benefits you.

Check out MoMetrixs too it’s a really good study site and can help you create study habits based off your learning style💕 BEST OF LUCK I’m going for medical assisting this year!

@Ann I have two anatomy apps on my phone that i use daily. its short sweet and to the point for some concepts.

@MK the school im in only accepts 50 students per semester. Its a small town so when i asked other nurses how they got through the school they said it took them 2 or 3 times to get in and retaking classes.
