Unsettled and unhappy baby 😢

I have a 9 week old baby boy who is constantly upset over the last 4 weeks and I’m not sure what to do. The GP has prescribed gaviscon because he was being a little sick then upset during and/or after his bottle (breastmilk) which has now in turn constipated him so now he is straining and getting upset. I have been giving him massages and leg exercises to no avail. The only thing that can half settle him is being constantly bounced in the bouncer. The minute I stop he cries, being put in the car seat he cries, if he’s in the pram and not moving he cries. This was before he was being sick or the gaviscon. I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong and feel like a terrible Mum. Is he bored? I try tummy time once a day, black and white cards and singing, I must admit not constantly but I don’t want to overstimulate him either. He doesn’t nap very much in the day, the wake windows of 60-90 mins is laughable as he can be awake for 8 hours in the day without a longer nap than 20 mins or so. Any advice or similar experiences that people could share?

My boy had gaviscon and I found it hard to give the full 15ml it says to mix it with. I used to just mix with 5ml breast milk and only gave it about 4 times a day which helped him not get constipated so could be worth reducing the amount of times you give it. I have a velcro baby who hates being put down anywhere but we recently got a projector which he enjoys watching night/early morning so that could maybe be something as a distraction/calming thing?

Sorry no advise as not experienced this but if he likes movement maybe try get a ‘rockit’ for the next to me of for his pram so it has constant movement? May help as my friends little boy settles with this. Hope you get some rest bite and he settles soon xxx

Could it be colic? My baby boy really struggles with wind so we have to do lots of walking around and burping after feeds. If we feed him from a bottle (breastmilk), he is more fussy than on the breast and wakes more at night. I was using infacol too xx
