Do you generally carry your little one up/ down the stairs or do they do it themselves?

I get soo anxious when my little one tries to go down himself

She can crawl herself up the stairs or hold my hands and walk up. She sits and bumps bumps on her bum down the stairs

For quickness I tend to carry him, but he can crawl up himself and bumps down on his bum himself too, (I walk down backwards infront of him in case he topples forward but he never has) But for big steps, like the steps in the garden he struggles and needs my hand both ways x

My LB walks up and down the stairs, I just walk behind him going up and infront of him coming down. He tells me ‘I do it mummy, walk mummy’ now so no chance of me carrying him!😂

He climbs up and down the stairs, getting a bit too confident going up now he’s walking up them using one hand on the wall sometimes 🙈 For down he either goes down on his bum or his front I’m behind him going up and in front going down 😂

I have been trying to teach my boy to come down on his own… but since I started this he is now refusing to even walk up the stairs for bath time and it causes a huge meltdown :(. But the steps in the garden he can do holding on to either my hand or the wall
