Baby not interested in eating, only bottle feeding

I’d like to hear I’m not alone! My baby is 9.5 months and is rarely interested in food. I’ve been giving him purées since he was 5 months and solids recently. He’ll take 1-2 spoonfuls and then seal his lips and doesn’t want anymore. He’ll play with all the food but it’s the only thing he’s not interested in putting in his mouth 😅 We do this 3 times a day and doesn’t seem to be better. I’ve tried over 30 different things and the only thing he kinda likes is bananas. Otherwise he’s healthy, happy, and hitting all his milestones. Anyone going through the same?

My son is 9 months and has GERD. he will not eat anything other than liquids!!! So weird lol I think it’s a texture issue, I hope he’ll get over it soon

@Hannah I have GERD and will say that liquid don’t hit as fast as actual solid food. You’ll instantly feel the burn and it’s uncomfortable. There’s a lot of triggers unfortunately. My son has had silent reflux since 3 months, so we’re just going through it together lmao

My 9 month old is the same. He just stopped. He is finally allowing us to give him solids and purées. My little one teething is getting bad so I summed it up to the nipple feeling better on his gums.

My daughter (who is now 3) didn’t want to eat solids OR purées until she was 13 months old. I tried EVERYTHING and was so worried until one day she decided to eat. Her pediatrician told me that until about 12 months, solid food is for exposure and all I could do was offer food multiple times a day and give her opportunities to start eating. You’re doing the right thing. Your baby will eat when he’s ready!!
