I have a 6mo old Ronan. I love it. It’s unique and easy to pronounce. Two very important qualities with a last name no one can say correctly. 😳

Cyrus the virus 😩🤣🤦🏻♀️
Isn’t it awful?! But we had a fight and he wanted Lennox (which sounds like a dangerous dog name to me) and I wanted Lochlan he said it was too soft! Now I’m stuck with Cyrus Jack Connors. Which sounds like an f’ing pirate 😭😭😭😭 I’m going to just call him jack like my grandfather.
My chosen boys name is unusual but I’m not willing to give that up just yet😆 other contenders were River, Avery, Grayson & Beau.

I think Sol is really unusual. Also like Aslan
I think everyone is trying to have very unusual names now, so the old common names are the rare names now. 🤷🏻♀️

Haha that’s how I feel too! I gave my sons the names Nicholas and William and they’re the only ones in their classes full of super cool and unique Noahs and Alfies 😂
My husband is a teacher and it’s crazy how the “unique names” are all the popular ones now. If we have another boy we are going with John. My husband has been teaching for 6 years and hasn’t had a single one lol

We love the water and our son is Loch. Only 1200 or so other people in the US have the name.

Oh wow I've never heard of this name 😍
Kiptyn
Our # 1 pick for a boy (got a girl, and we are one and done!) was Lev. Means lion and heart ♥️. But it’s true if you pick a name common when you were in school you may find it’s waaay less common now, although depends on your region particularly with boys names where I think people tend to be less creative.
I loved the following... they’re not all unique. Rupert Gatsby Beauden Sebastian Xavier Xander Montague Wilbur Wilbie Grayson Caspian Wilf Monroe Robin Ralph Jude Xx
Susan
my sons name is Ju’ellz english origin means love, loved, humble, God’s son. african origin means the greatest.
I'm from an Greek orthodox background and there's a whole thing about having to name your child after your husband's parents (John- boring) .. but we opted for Micah after a difficult natural breach birth (after prophet Micah).. added in the John as a second name *evil laugh*

I love this! Honestly it was probably the most stressful thing about the birth! 😂
I know if I have another boy I am going to chose my grandpa’s name and that would be Edward on my dads side and if I have a girl I want to do my grandma’s name and that would be Elnora on my dads side. I hear Virginia not that often and I hear James a lot.
I’m pregnant with a baby boy 💙 will be naming him Archer. Archie for short after my late grandfather
Out of all those replies I didn’t see my boys name once-so I guess it’s still pretty unique and not commonly used 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 We have a Huxley 🥰

My older brother’s middle name is Ephraim & in all the years, he has never gone to school with one or even met another. So I’d say it’s a very unique name!
I recently watched sons of anarchy and fell in love with the name Abel xx
So when I say unique names, I mean names you don't hear much in the states, like Japanese or old Greek mythology names, even Hawaiian names because I live in Missouri, we have a lot of Nick's and Matthew's and such, I want something that my kid won't find on anything, something that makes an impact....is that what you mean by "unusual" just names you don't hear much?
