Ohhh I didn't know Tesco sold the pre made aswell that's good to know thank you! How long does your bottle last when you pre make before you go out, is it 2 hours ? Yeah the bottle of water and powder to make up when out if a faff for sure ! Xx
I'm doing exactly the same as you, just beginning to introduce more formula bottles from breastfeeding. So far I've been making up 2 bottles at a time and keeping in the fridge, you can have them in a cool bag with ice packs for up to 4 hours apparently (NHS guidelines) so take them ready made up from home. Yesterday I went out and I put plain boiled water in a bottle and let it cool down then took an empty bottle and the powder separate. My girl is on 4oz so I asked for 2oz boiling water from the cafe, added the powder to dissolve then topped up with 2oz of the cold water from the other bottle. It was so easy and was ready to drink straight away. I'm going to buy a flask to take my own hot water too.
We use the shot pots. If you do the water like normal into the bottle and then put the shot pot in then it travels for hours I believe. We used this on our 6 hour journey and baby was very happy xx
Get the nuby rapid cool set and formula pots. Makes a bottle in a few minutes
@Sophie yeah 2 hours xx
@Sophie I think it's 2 hours out the fridge or if you have cool bag and ice pack it's 4 hours. My changing bag has a section lined like a cool bag for this.

Hey, I’ve been formula feeding from the start a few things I do If I’m going to someone else house I have little pots I fill with the right amount of formula, use their kettle and let it cool down (either by popping it then in cool water or just waiting) If I’m out for a few hours I make it at home with the kettle & either keep it out so it’s ready when he needs it or keep it in an insulated bag If I’m out all day, I’ll add hot water to a flask and take the little pots of formula When we went away for the night and stayed in a hotel, we used the kettle, prepped a few bottles and we’ve got the tommee tippee bottle warmer then, so warmed them up when he wanted them, we also used the pre-made Tommee Tippee Milk Powder Dispensers, 6 Pack https://amzn.eu/d/jfOcMPl This is the bundle we got then bought more dispensers as we use them every feed make life easier https://amzn.eu/d/9isIgRd
Hiya! I also use Kendamil and use the Nuby Rapid cool set when out and about The ready to feed bottles are much easier to use on the go and can be purchased from all major supermarkets, not just Tesco eg Morrisons, Sainsbury, Asda, Waitrose even on Ocado and other major retailers such as Co op, Savers and Boots. Join the group Kendamums on Facebook, where you can ask all questions Kendamil.
@Sonia oh that must be new as it was only Tesco and Savers that stocked it for ages.
We're using Kendamil with my second, both have been formula fed but used SMA with my first, and he's just as if not more colicky than she was so I'm not sure there's truth in that but I do think it's gentler on their tummies. We make up a bottle before we go out then take a premade with us in the changing bag just in case. We get them in Savers, it's only Tesco and Savers who sell the bottles of premade. You could take a flask of hot water, a bottle of water and powder out with you to make bottles on the go but it's too faffy for me.
