Why don’t they write it down?
Our Ultrasound tech had it on the print out and put it in an envelope for us to do a gender reveal. We just told her before we started that we didn’t want to know in the room.
Told nhs won’t write down as they don’t want to be liable if wrong !

NHS protocol is not to write down any gender as they have been sued before when they have got it wrong. You can persuade them though by promising not to do anything if they turn out to be wrong. We were told no at first but we asked very nicely.
Just say you don’t want to know and then ask you doctor if they can write it down. That’s what we did.
It totally depends on the hospital. Also It’s not a gender scan it’s an anatomy scan so some hospitals won’t even verbally tell you the gender. Call the hospital before hand and ask if they can write it down for you x
I work for a private company and most hospitals dont mention it and even if want to know and they can't see it they won't actively go looking as it's a anatomy scan xx
I asked to have mine written down as my husband couldn’t make it. They were happy to and the paper just had a disclaimer on it saying scans are 100% reliable at identifying gender
