Icandy orange

Does anyone have an icandy orange and know what these switches on the front wheels are for? Nothing seems to happen if they’re up or down- I would have thought they’d be to lock the front wheels but they don’t… I bought it second hand and the wheels at the front are rubbish- they get stuck sideways and manoeuvrability sucks- is this because it’s a crap design or because I got it secondhand?

I believe the switch is to allow the wheels to manouvre straight or go side ways, and if you feel the wheels are a bit rubbish you can just replace the wheels, you can buy these on ebay

@Ilham Q thank you!

I’d have said they were to lock the wheels in the straight position but maybe it’s broken x

I opted for this pram after test driving approx 12! I chose it because of its manoeuvrability and ability to turn backwards easily. And basket size and accessibility. For me it was the best by a long shot!

@Amy then I think the wheels on it must be broken because it is so bad!

I don’t think it’s your wheels. I have the ICandy orange and i struggle with the same thing. I went for this pram because it was so easy to move around but that’s because there was no weight in it 😂 as soon as my LO started getting a bit bigger, the front wheels keep getting stuck sideways and it’s a pain to push. The “lock” things in your picture are meant to lock the wheels so they go only straight but that just makes it worse.

I borrowed my mums mini city jogger double and it’s so much better, my littlest is 5 months so is fine in the pushchair bit so I’m going to stick with that!

I’ve just bought this buggy second hand as well, and I’m gutted to be experiencing the same thing. The front wheels jam (the lock is not on) and it forces you to go one direction. You can literally push yourself in a complete circle, trying all your might to go the other way! Really disappointing. Wondering if anyone fixed the issue by replacing the wheels, or any other solution?

@Maria I sold it in the end, no idea if the person who bought it changed the wheel or not, you can buy replacements online so it might work 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you go onto iCandy, it’s a well known fault after 6 months of use. I’ve only just figured this out & have taken my pram back to John Lewis for them to send off to iCandy to be fixed. You can get a free upgrade for the wheels on the iCandy website as they have owned up to it having a fault. Deffo worth a look! X

@Bethany I haven’t been on peanut for a while now so logging in to see this was amazing. Thank you for letting me know as I would have never even bothered to search this again x

Hi I am experiencing the same issue after buying this pram second hand, did anyone do the above? Or what helped my partner was going to take the wheels off tomorrow and clean them out but it's horrendous I can't push it without it getting stuck

@Rachael I would contact icandy and see if they can replace the wheels
