I use this steriliser as my daily one itās my holy grail šš» one tablet to 5L of cold water, throw everything in and itās sterilised within 15 minutesš the water/tablet lasts 24 hrs and you can use straight from the bucket too which is convenient x
I have read the instructions seems pretty straight forward, Iām just confused as to how itās safe to just give the baby a bottle straight from it without rinsing is that what you do?
Yes, you can give it straight to baby. If you rinse under water, youāre undoing the sterilisation process x
@Gemmalouise Thatās so good Iāve just ordered one.. definitely seems the easiest way to sterilise bottles while Iām on holiday :)
@Liv Ohright okay yeah that makes sense, just ordered one for my holiday :)
We used a normal plastic tub from Wilkos it was a few pound. Also donāt forget to take a sponge and washing up liquid to wash the bottles first before putting them in! X
Iāve used the mam steriliser for the last 15 weeks. I then had a bit of drama so went and bought Milton tablets and a week later Iāve ordered the bucket and thatās how Iām not sterilising our bottles
@Natalie Iāve just ordered a collapsible bucket to wash the bottles in off Amazon then Iāll transfer them to the steriliser for the day :)
We use Milton as our main steriliser, so easy to use! Just follow the instructions and give bottles a good shake when you remove them to get the excess off
@Lauren Iāve just ordered a collapsible washing tub to wash the bottles then Iāll transfer them to the cold water steriliser for the day, Iāve been told I donāt have to sterilise her bottles as she will be 14 months but itāll just give me peace of mind :)
@Leah Iām just trying to be prepared for anything haha, Iāve ordered a collapsible washing tub to wash the bottles then will transfer them to the cold water steriliser for the day :)
@Loren weāve got a couple of holidays booked, so was going to use this method anyway when on holiday. But just started it a bit earlier than planned haha xx
@Abbie I definitely think itāll be the easiest way Iāll probably continue to use it when I get home too :)
@Loren itās so much easier! We had an electric one as well but the Milton is better.

@Leah Yeah seems like the easiest method tbh Iāll probably continue to do it that way when Iām back home too :)
Yeah Milton soak or just boil on the stove for 5mins Thatās actually all Iāve ever used to sterilise at home.
The tablets are easier for travel but for home, bleach will do, as Milton is just diluted bleach already measured out. So 1tb bleach in 4L cold water is the dilution
@Kellie thatās what freaked me out about just giving her the bottle straight from the solution š¬ but clearly itās safe Iām just not used to it š
@Loren just shake it. Thereās only droplets left it wonāt harm baby xx
@Kellie do the teats not hold it in them though?
@Loren not sure what u mean but as you take everything out give it a good shake- teat and bottle. Thereāll be a couple of tiny droplets of solution on it but thatās it. Milton doesnāt have a smell at all
Iāve used cold water and Milton for months itās so much easier than the electric steriliser I was using. I do boil the kettle and rinse all her bottles with boiling water after to get rid of the residue and smell.
Bought the cold water Milton bucket for holiday & honestly fully converted to using it full time now! Had an electric steam one before & this is so much easier and the bottles feel so much cleaner!!
