IVF Injection leaking
I’m on day 5 of stims and noticed the last two days I’ve had some liquid leak from the injection site. I missed speaking with the clinic yesterday but wondered if this was normal or whether there was anything I can do to prevent it? I inject at 90 degrees, pinch but release the skin when needle is in, hold for 10 etc. worrying I’m not getting the full dose! Xxxx

When you say you hold for 10, is that after the infection is in? I was told to wait 5 seconds after the plunger is all the way down before removing the needle, which seemed to work. I also did the actual injections very slowly.
Yes, so once I’ve put the needle in, administered all the dose, I then hold for 10 seconds before pulling the needle out. I do them slowly too. These are the pens, I start the pre-filled syringes tomorrow so perhaps that’s different! Xx
well it sounds like you are doing everything right. If it’s gonal f, I do think that had the shortest needle of all the various meds I have tried, think I sometimes had a drop leak myself with that. You will probably find it won’t happen with any of the other drugs.
