Tomme tippee teats collapsing

Hello! I have a 7 week old LO who is currently suffering from reflux 😩 she is having 4oz every 3/4 hours but when she is feeding the teat on the bottle is collapsing in on itself ? Not always but 80% of the time ! Does this mean I should get a size two teat ? As Iv read this could mean the teat is to small! Or is there another cause ? Help!

Are you using reflux milk? If so then definitely go for a size 2 or above teet. (I’m using a size 2) with normal formula I’m not too sure but if baby is showing signs of discomfort then it could be worth a try. ☺️

I've heard Mam bottles are also good for Reflux & Colic. Xoxo

My LB suffered from reflux and wind. It was the Tommy tippee bottles causing most of it. They aren’t recommended by midwives or health visitors and I wish k was told this by my community midwife when I told her I’d got some! MAM easy start bottles are great and my LB is so much better now. He’s a greedy lad too, takes 200ml (approx 7oz) every feed and he’s 10 weeks. Teats on the TT bottles were folding in on themselves because air flow to the bottle wasn’t good enough, like if you drink from a pop bottle and it creases in itself

Tommee tippee are the worst bottles ever. Give My litte girl a bad belly. I'd invest in Dr browns or mam. If you haven't got the funds to try changing the teats to a vari flo teat. They let the baby drink as much as they want. Hope this helps xx

Tommee tippee are crap for reflux babies! They make things sooooo much worse! I use mam bottles and they're so much better! Xx

No we have been on reflux milk etc so know she is on omeprazole! I didn’t realise tommee tippee bottles were so bad ! Will get different ones and see if that makes a difference ! Thanks for the advice everyone ! X
