DIY padsicles or Fridamom instant ice pads?

Hi, did anyone here make their own padsicles? Or did you buy the Fridamom instant ice maxi pads? I was told that the Fridamom ice pads are hard to sit on and doesn’t get cold that much. Anyone care to share their experience using the Fridamom ice pads? If you chose to DIY, how many padsicles did you make/or plan to bring to the hospital? What did you put on the pads?

I’m planning to make my own! The Fridamom ice pads seemed so expensive for how many you get in a pack. I ended up buying maxi pads (the heavy duty kind) and 100% natural aloe vera that’s chemical and dye free. I heard that it’s also better to put them in the fridge overnight vs the freezer but I’ll be trying out a couple combinations to kind the “soothing” pain relief that feels best for me. Best of luck mama!

Check this out! https://a.co/d/45NYfNi These cooling postpartum pads have good reviews on amazon.ca. I added these to my shopping cart. Not gonna use as I am going to have a c section. You can check this out. These are cheaper than frida mom with good reviews.

Made my own. So easy. I hear making your own is better because they are absorbent, while the ice pads aren't.

I bought the frida ones, and I agree that they are bulky to sit on. You get I think 8 pads for $40. I would recommend making your own instead.
