How to give baby cooled boiled water?
So…
I boil the kettle with fresh water, wait 30 minutes and pour in to mam bottles. I then put in the fridge.
My question is how long does it last once taken out of the fridge? We are going out today and want to take some water with us as it’s soooo hot!

But the question is “can we even give water to babies younger than 6 months of age “?
@Anu a lot of people have asked this question and there's tons of guidance online, including from NHS and from qualified IBCLC's on Instagram. Yes, if the child is formula fed and is showing signs of dehydration. Not for breastfed babies and, if combi-fed, offer more breastmilk, not water.
Oh ok , I didn’t know that … thanks for the info xx I have been exclusively breastfeeding so it’s not required . I was concerned because of the heat these days xx
@Anu your milk will change with babies needs, so will naturally water itself down with the heat. That's why breastfed babies don't need water x

Unlike milk, sterile water doesn't go off, and doesn't have live bacteria cultures. So I'd say 24hrs, but baby would probably appreciate 12hrs
