Mam bottles and prep machine
I’ve been using the Tommee Tippee prep machine for formula with the mam bottles but I’ve just put my little boy up to 5oz and the machine fills it way past where it says 5oz on the bottle? I’m not sure if this is just my machine or if it happens with anyone else and is it okay? I use 5 scoops of powder for 5oz of water but I’m worried with it filling past the 5 on the bottle ?

The formula adds volume so it will look like more x
As others have said it’s water displacement due to the formula powder. We are on 7oz bottles (we use Mam with a perfect prep machine) and they all come out nearly to 8oz.

We're using the exact same combo and over 9 months of using it we've learned that with the prep machine... "4 oz" = 130ml "5 oz" = 170ml "6 oz" = 200ml "7oz" = 230ml "8 oz" = 260ml

Just water displacement, the formula will add more volume, a bit like someone sitting in a bathtub, them sitting causes the water to rise but its still the same amount of water in the bath 😀
