MILTON COLD WATER STERILISER… HELP!!!!🙈

Hey everyone, I go to Bulgaria in the morning with my 14 month old she’s still having formula before bed so I still need to sterilise her bottles for now. Can I use water straight from the tap in Bulgaria in my Milton cold water steriliser? I know we can’t drink the tap water there but what I’ve found on Google says it’s perfectly fine to do so as the Milton tablet will kill anything that could possibly be in the tap water? Any recommendations cause I’m abit stressed with it all 😬

Yes use tap water the tablet is bleach so will kill anything in it 😊

Tap water is fine, the bleach sorts it all out. You can take a tub or just fill the sink x

Maybe just rinse it with boiling water before you make up the bottle just incase

Tap water with milton is fine

@Abbie I have never used the cold water method with the Milton tablets and I’m abit concerned that you don’t rinse the solution off the bottles 😬 but I know that alot of people use that method all the time not just on holiday so I know it will be safe just out of my comfort zone with it all tbh.

@Loren we use it full time 😊 just shake the excess off and make your bottle up

@Loren it's what they use in hospitals without rinsing them

You don’t need to sterilise after 1 ever with formula as far as I’m aware xx

We use it full time and it’s fine with any tap water as the Milton kills everything off. Also make sure you don’t wash the solution off as that would defeat the purpose of it completely.

@Mel Yes that’s correct, I get alot of people telling me not to sterilise her bottles but she still has formula before bed like I stated so I know I need to unless shes completely off it :)

As long as its the milton brand you don't need to rinse off however usually the cheaper/store bought versions you need to rinse with boiled water after they've been in the tank so definitely invest in the Milton brand if you haven't already but you can just use tap water to make up the solution
