Best line progression pregnancy tests

Hey I am just wondering what the best tests to use to monitor line progression are? Are the cheaper strip hcg test accurate enough to detect early pregnancy and see the like progression daily as after a chemical pregnancy I would like to be able to track it closer this time so I don’t get my hopes up if it’s not getting stronger daily if that makes sense. I’m guessing the pink dye is better to prevent evaporation lines etc but not as easy to come by in the uk as it seems they are in the US Thanks in advance

I ordered 20 pregnancy test of Amazon and they were the Premom ones. I used these to track line progression x

@Julia thank you 😊 I just looked and they are really affordable thanks for that! Did you do them once daily or twice a day?

@Hollie I done them around twice a day. First thing in the morning and then after work or just before bed x

@Julia thank you so much for your help! Ordering now! Xx

Line progression doesn’t always work. Mine got lighter each day and I freaked out and now I have a happy healthy 7 month old. My midwife told me the that tests only really show positive or negative not amount. The darkness of the line can also be affected by how much water you drank the day before, what you’ve eaten and other factors.

@Elle oh really? I thought they got darker for more hcg - I recently had a chemical pregnancy but wasn’t tracking it so only knew by the fact my digital test didn’t change in weeks so was hoping for something to put my mind at rest 😬

Easy @ home! 10miu ones xxxx best I’ve had. Il show a pic x and cheap. 20 for £10 or somthing xx

@Hollie the only way you can really check hcg levels is via blood tests. The urine tests can only show if there’s hcg in the urine. Obviously if your urine is more concentrated then there will be more and if there’s more water there will be less. I had an ectopic before this healthy pregnancy and spent weeks panicking because my line wasn’t progressing but was getting lighter but the tests aren’t designed to be used in this way. It’s designed to show you if you have any hcg in your urine at all. For me it was more stress than it was worth.

I’ve had an ectopic so this pregnancy I’ve found to be reassuring to see the lines getting darker which shows the hcg is increasing in your system. I agree a blood test is better but doctors don’t give out blood tests anymore for pregnancy so tests are the only way to ease the mind slightly I feel

@Victoria I’m just saying that if the line isn’t getting darker it doesn’t mean it’s a problem. As after my ectopic when I got pregnant again my line got lighter but I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy.

Thank you everyone I have ordered some to try (2 packs 😂) but if I’m not seeing the increase in line I will not necessarily take that as a bad sign as although I do think that’s how they are designed to work I have also read that you can get bad batches that don’t work well xx thank you all for your advice xx
