Hello I’m looking for some help and advice. I had my son at 34 weeks which we never really got it the reason as to why. So I was put forward for cervix scans. Last week my cervix was 30.4mm and then today a week later it’s 27mm.

Hi Nikki. 25mm is generally considered the upper threshold for cerclage. Have you spoken to your MFM about when they will offer you a cerclage? How long until your next scan?

My midwife has been fighting for me to have one and my anxiety it going through the roof! But the hospitals policy is at 25mm, I’m already on progesterone which doesn’t seem to be helping. What’s an MFM? My next scan isn’t until 26th which feel ages away and I’m so scared I’ll just go into labour. 😢
