8 week jabs

Hello! First time mum here and just had our appointment through for my little boys jabs. Has anyone given calpol beforehand? My gp advised it might be a good idea?? Also what can I expect from my little one after? I know he’s likely to be very upset and unsettled but just want to prepare my self 😂

They told me to give it baby after the jabs as doing it before can mask any bad symptoms they might get. My lo was fine. Just a bit grizzly after and slept more then normal but nothing major.

4th time mummy here and my boy had his 8 week jabs on Thursday just gone. And the rotavirus liquid too given orally. He had calpol straight after and they said the first 3 doses are important and to give them every 4-6 hours. I think he had all in all around 4 doses altogether in 48 hrs as today (Saturday) he hasn’t needed medicine. He was fine just a bit unsettled the first day but better the next day. I heard the 8 week and the 16 week jabs are the ones most likely to get a fever because of the meningitis. Which isn’t included in 12 week jab. All this they go through then there’s that dreaded 4 month sleep regression. I’m not looking forward to that one i remember with my other 3 it was awful. The wonder weeks app is brilliant and will tell you when your baby is going through a developmental leap
