How to get OHIP version code for newborn

My baby is 3 days old and my daughters pediatrician informed me that the hospital birth code only lasts 9 days without a version code and i needed to go get one— i headed to service ontario after the appointment with her hospital discharge papers, and the health number i recieved but they told me they can’t do anything until her birth certificate comes in. I applied for the birth certificate the day i had her, but apparently processing and delivery takes 6-8 weeks. How can I get this version code because she has a pediatrician appointment next week and to see the family doctor a week after that and im worried😅 thanks mommas

You have an OHIP number for her—the ped office (usually) just hangs onto the billing until the version code is available and then submits There should be a phone number on the temp paper card they gave you that they can call

I used my baby’s number without a version code until 3 months. While not recommending, it does take. While to receive the health card so your doctors office should be fine without for a few weeks. The health card number the hospital gave you doesn’t change. You just get the version code that goes on the end that’s all.
