I would say that is to soon to test ?? As implantation can take a couple of days. I’m having my transfer Tuesday and I’ve been told not to test for 16 days ! X
Hi Danni, I had pretty much the same thing in a previous IVF cycle. Unfortunately the symptoms were just side effects of the progesterone. However my clinic always says to test day 9 and then 11 because day 9 might be too early. So keep the hope up for another couple of days and test again. What test are you using? x
Is that your OTD from your clinic? Unfortunately progesterone can cause all the symptoms associated with early pregnancy so it's always best not to symptom spot, saying that 9dp is early for a test day, see what your clinic say if it is your OTD but they may ask you to test again in a few days xx
Oh really? It’s awful isn’t it 😢 you really get your hopes up! I am going to test again tomorrow and then again Tuesday to make sure. I am using cheap strip ones and also the clear blue ones. I done two this morning x
@Danni it is, I was so convinced that round. Then the next one I had which was my only positive I had no symptoms! Unfortunately that ended up being a chemical. I have always wondered whether 9 days post transfer is too early, I questioned my clinic about that and they seem confident that 9-11 days post is enough but who knows, other clinics say 14 days! Keeping my fingers crossed that yours becomes a big fat positive!! 🤞🏼
@Danni I’m so sorry! Definitely retest in a few days just to be doubly sure. My clinic say 14days but suggest getting a blood test not a urine test just to be certain. Progesterone is a wonderful but tricky hormone. I’m also in my tww and have so many ‘symptoms’ and it’s hard to not overthink if it has worked or not. Wishing you luck x
I will do! Aww best of luck, I have everything crossed for you x
9 days does seem early - my clinic is 14 days after the transfer
@Mandy I will definitely test again this coming week x
@Danni good news??
Hi Danni its never easy unfortunately,! And it massively sucks do not loose hope x x
I’m sorry to hear this! Progesterone can give you the same symptoms as early pregnancy so it can be difficult to tell the difference. Sending you lots of strength x
