Ha @Wanyu definitely a reminder to my self! It so hard to not overthink. Thank you x
Buserelin significantly reduces OHSS risk, so that’s good they are monitoring and keeping you protected against that. Does what you have read relate to fresh or frozen transfers? I was OHSS risk so had dual buserelin/HGC shots and had to have a freeze all cycle because of number of eggs collected, to give my body a break and make sure I was better prepared for transfer. If you’re concerned about the impact of your trigger/stims on pregnancy rates (best to ask your clinic about what you have read), you could explore that option. I initially didn’t want another delay but then it was actually really nice to have a month off thinking about IVF!
It's the correct trigger for people high risk so don't worry x
Yes that is the trigger to reduce OHSS and then you will need a freeze all to avoid a fresh transfer. A fresh transfer isn’t advised with OHSS risk and nor with buserelin trigger. So you’ll just wait a month and then have an FET. FET has much more chance of working than fresh in people that have high risk of OHSS 👍🏻😊
I was given Buserlin as my trigger shot , I had over 40 follicles and feared I may get OHSS. I took 1ml and went in for the egg collection. Avoided getting OHSS. I was also prescribed Cabergoline but they made me feel so poorly!! I got 6 eggs , 6 matured, 6 fertilised , and we got 2 that were a good grade. Currently 12 weeks pregnant with 1 of then
@CLL yeah that true & it was related to fresh transfer. Yeah was thinking that! @Charliey I think this probably will be FET transfer but doc havnt mentioned anything regarding it and gave plan for all meds to start after retrieval and stated if feel unwell or have symptoms of OHSS, stop the meds and go to AE. My understanding they may want to see the result after retrieval & see how I feel as I have app on sat to make decision for fresh transfer or FET. @Charlotte congratulations & cabergoline is horrendous I took them yday for first time I threw up few hrs later- doc said to not take it if feel more worse.
You have to trust the professionals. What matters the most is your egg quality so relax and stop googling would be the best advice from everyone :-)
