I was just thinking it would be easier to have the rapid cool and flask ready to go upstairs and make the bottle up there you see.
We use the rapid cool. I'll put some boiling water in a flask so don't have to wait for kettle. Then make up bottle overnight using the flask and rapid cool. I never put formula in the rapid cool so it only ever gets boiling water and then doesn't need sterilising. Prep machine for me isn't hot enough - during the day I use it but have to do extra hot shots so avoid it overnight x
I love the rapid cool and also use a flask
I have a nuby rapid cool which is brilliant for feeds on the go. I also use a Tommy tippee prep machine in the house which is super handy. To sterilise the nuby I use cold water sterilisation with a milton bucket and tablets. I sterilise everything this way. The nuby rapid cool tells you on it what ways it can be sterilise but I can’t remember off the top of my head. I’m sure that information is available online. I think UV sterilisation was ok but not 100% from memory.
I'd recommend the tommee tippee prep machine for at home, it makes life so much easier. I used the rapid cool when I'm out x
i use the rapid cool when i go out but i don’t put formula in which saves me from sterilising it. at home we have the tommee tippee prep machine. for the nuby i measure out the water (from the kettle) in her bottle, leave a hot shot which i measure out in the cap and then pour the remaining water in the nuby. i will then use the hot shot to mix with the formula in her bottle
I have two rapid cools and use then for every feed. They’re fab for night feeds. I take a flask of boiling water to and it keeps water hot all night. I only do one night feed but sometimes she feeds just before bed and the first thing in the morning so then I’ve got two sterile ninja for both feeds. I sterilise mine worn a Milton cold water steriliser. They’re first cheap and so easy, never bothered with UV. Everyone told me to get a prep machine but there are too many issues with them for my liking.
If you want to make night feeds easier I would honestly get a tommee tippee prep machine. I know some people don't like them but I used it and I know quite a few other parents who do and I personally haven't found anyone who had problems.
