Worcester Library has small free classes like Baby Bounce. Your little one won’t be able to participate haha but at least you could get out of the house and be with other moms.
Coes Park is nice for walks. It’s not an exceptionally long walk, and it borders the pond so it’s a really nice view (from parking lot to the end and back probably only takes 15 minutes or so but there are benches so you can sit and enjoy the view). Green Hill Park is also really nice and there’s a little “zoo” with some farm animals. Elm Park is nice and it’s right on Park Ave. so it’s very public, if you’re not a fan of being out and about on your own where it’s a little more closed off (Coes). I’m relatively new to the area so we haven’t explored all that much. But those have been my 3 go tos when I’ve taken my 21 month old out. Just had baby number two 7 weeks ago so we haven’t been as active with the walks this summer.
When my son was 5 weeks, my husband went back to work and I felt very much like how you do. Same thing every day. My son was born in December so outside options were limited. I would bring him for a ride everyday so I could get a nice coffee. Then we would either just drive around or go to a store to pick up supplies. When the weather got warmer, I would go for walks with him. If it was cold, I’d just use a nice blanket and one of those car seat covers to help with the wind. It helped my mental health A LOT to get out of the house each day. Even if it was just done the road to pick up a coffee and listen to my podcast.
Another Morgan here! 🤗 we have a 7-week old baby girl here. I’ve been looking for stroller-friendly parks to take my LO. I feel like we are descending on the most ideal time of year for being outside with an infant. I’ll LYK if I find any good walking spots. Besides that, you could check your local library for story time/singalong time for babies. Also, any local new mom support or BF support groups are a great way to get out and meet moms nearby.
