The infant carrier is a car seat and it then attaches to the stroller. If you want an all-in-one there is the Doona but it doesn't lie flat and it's advised babies aren't in car seats for longer than 2 hours. I'll send links...

We bought the Silver Cross Jet 3 (folds flat, so can be used from a few months old, and is also small enough to take on the plane as hand luggage - it pulls along like a little suitcase). We already had the Silver Cross iSize Dream infant carrier so we bought the adapters to attach it to the Jet. It means, when we need to move baby, the pushchair and the infant carrier, the baby goes in the infant carrier attached to the Jet.
