Colief causing upset tummy!

Hi everyone! At the moment we’ve been using colief for about 5 days. Our LO was suffering colic (screaming for 5 hours a night) and the pharmacist recommended it! Whilst the colic crying has stopped it seems like it’s causing her quite a bit of a sore tummy. She has bad diarrhoea now and doesn’t stop farting ! Constantly and it STINKS 😂. It also seems like she has bad trapped wind at the same time. Sometimes she’s crying whilst farting and really pushing them out. She’s 6 weeks old and exclusively formula fed. I’ve reduced the drops to 2 drops of colief instead of 4 Has anyone experienced the same ?? Or any advice?

Yes, ours little one is exactly the same. Day 3 yesterday, and it was constant diarrhoea all day. Seems to have helped the colic, but lots of fluffs poo. I have gone to every other bottle with the colief. Not sure if that's right, but i think it's just trial and error. How are you getting on with the 2 drops? X

@Hannah yeah we tried every other day but it seemed to bring the colic back for us! But you’re right it is just trial and error. The 2 drops seem to have decreased the diarrhoea a bit ( a couple of explosions still) but they seem to still have really bad gas that’s sometimes trapped and it’s hard to see them in pain!

Yep I experienced same with my 5week old. He also came down with diarrhea from using Colief; constantly pooping and farting. Had to completely stop giving him and now looking for alternative.

You're right it is hard. I did contemplate stopping it because of the diarrhoea, but I think I'd prefer poo explosions, than see them in pain 🤦‍♀️ I guess its just their little bodies getting used to the drops. I may try 2 drops instead of 4 of the diarrhoea carries on.

@Ehi let us know if you find anything!

@Hannah yes same! It’s definitely a toss up between the two. I do worry a bit as mine seems to be farting A LOT 😂 and sometimes we have some crying as it seems trapped at times and it’s hard to see them in pain 😔. But I agree, I think their little bodies aren’t used to it so I think we’ll try another week! X

Im the same with my little boy, he was really badly suffering with trapped wind etc and colicky, so we’ve been giving him colief and he has runny nappies too, but honestly I’d rather the runny nappies than seeing him in lots of pain with trapped wind etc, I have reduced the drops right down to 2 per bottle and this seems to have helped slightly x

Hey, just wondering how you are getting on a few days later? X
