Wow really?! I’ve heard a bit about the hook effect but I’m only 5+2 so I thought there’s no way it could be that yet😯 I’ll have to keep an eye on that then xx

@Avril thank you! Do you mean you had a dye stealer or the hook effect? I’m still waiting on my dye stealer, it feels like it’s almost there but not quite! 🤔xx
Both hun had a few dye stealers this pregnancy and had the hook affect when was preg with my 2nd x hook affect is when you end up with a false negative x
Aww lovely congratulations on your pregnancy! I don’t suppose you can remember what stage you noticed the hook effect can you? It seems so early for that to be the case for me but it does make sense why my second urine results are all of a sudden stronger even though they’re more diluted xx
Thankyou sweet, currently almost 17wks.........With my 2nd I had really low hcg levels so I actually had numerous false negatives. Between 5-8 weeks, some were bloods and the others were pee tests. I dont think yours are hook affect as they are still giving you positive tests, just some are lighter than others at different times......numerous tests of mine did this on this pregnancy. So I did a digital and obviously went to the early pregnancy unit to confirm it all x
I believe some people do end up with more HCG later in the day than at the start x
I've heard this is called the hook effect? Id never heard of it before until I was doing my own pregnancy tests this July xx I think my first one was about the same time as yours though. Maybe a little later x
